Dastaan, a vacation home in the rural parts of Chakwal, Pakistan, is a thoughtful blend of contemporary aesthetic and regional sensibilities. The rectangular building faces north, capturing stunning 180-degree views of lush greenery in its immediate surrounding. To combat the harsh sun, deep verandas adorned with operable shutters run along the southern face to provide shade and create a play of light and shadow. Dastaan's design is a response to its natural surroundings, offering both practicality and a visual narrative that unfolds through simple yet impactful architectural choices.

With dedicated spaces for robotics, agriculture, computers, and more, we're fostering a dynamic environment where students gain both academic excellence and practical skills, empowering them for the challenges of the modern world. 

ECOKINE INSTITUTE

Ahmad Dogar's Mausoleum stands as a cultural testament, meticulously planned along a central axis. Utilizing the commanding presence of the cube form, the structure evokes monumental significance. The arrangement of cubical volumes along the central axis creates a compelling narrative flow and a sense of progression. Rooted in its locale, the mausoleum employs local materials, grounding its design in the rich tapestry of its cultural context. Through a thoughtful synthesis of form and materials, Ahmad Dogar's Mausoleum pays homage to its heritage while narrating a timeless story of cultural reverence and continuity. 

AH MAUSOLEUM

Dastaan Shigar, a small hotel nestled in northern Pakistan, seamlessly blends traditional techniques with contemporary design. Harnessing abundant southern light, its internal spaces are bathed in warmth. Traditional materials honor local heritage while thicker walls provide insulation. Dastaan Shigar is a beacon of cultural integration and sustainable architecture in the stunning landscapes of Pakistan's north. 

DASTAAN SHIGAR

This small hotel in Islamabad brilliantly maximizes mountain views on a narrow plot. Facing north, the design cleverly incorporates natural light through voids, illuminating the interiors. Elegant jali on the front facade ensures both views and guest privacy. A harmonious blend of scenery, sunlight, and seclusion defines this urban haven, offering guests a tranquil escape amidst the bustling cityscape. With every detail meticulously crafted, it promises a serene retreat, where the beauty of the surroundings meets the comfort of modern hospitality. 

ZQ II

Nestled at the base of a steep hill face in Murree, the residential project embraces the challenges of a heavily contoured site with a sharp gradient. With sunlight limited to the east and west, the design maximizes openings for natural light. Louvers strategically introduced ensure privacy amidst panoramic views. The spatial organization echoes this harmony, with crucial spaces oriented towards the east and west, leveraging the available natural light. Drawing from the vernacular style of Murree, a metallic slanted roof gracefully caters to snowfall during winters. The interplay of topography, light, and regional aesthetics defines Murree House, where architecture seamlessly integrates with nature, offering both comfort and a nod to local heritage. 

ALPINE HAVEN

The primary goal of the project was to enhance the outlook and approach of the Emporium Mall in F10, Islamabad. However, since most landscape interventions were to be made in affiliation with the building authority on public property, making the space inclusive and accessible became just as important. Thus, the space was designed to essentially function as a mini-park, not only uplifting the experience around the building but also pulling the observer in with landscape features such as a visually expansive green cover, public benches, shading trees, splashes of color, and a vibrant installation custom-designed and built at the mall entrance.

EMPORIUM LANDSCAPE

NS House was designed as a single unit residence for a family of five. The contemporary structure was the result of a simple exercise in following the sun. The consequent layout comprises spaces oriented to catch the best natural light, and organized around a courtyard which brings nature to the literal and figurative center of the experience. 

NS HOUSE

This residential house, strategically positioned facing a bustling commercial street, ingeniously tackles the challenge of privacy invasion. Introducing small courtyards between different spaces of the house, the design not only ensures privacy but also invites ample natural light and lush greenery into the interiors. These carefully placed green pockets not only act as visual buffers, shielding the house from the street, but also provide delightful views from every internal space. The result is a harmonious blend of urban living and nature, creating an oasis of tranquility in the heart of the city. 

SJ HOUSE

The interior design of the Saifco Head Office was based on the idea of “a box within a box”; a modest inspiration which came from the rather unusual location of the office space, which was to be on one side of one of the retail floors of one of the shopping centers which the company had developed themselves. The interior design of the office presents a playful composition of “boxes”, placed against the neutral canvas of an otherwise functional, monotone space. Each one is treated according to the function it houses, while collectively the structures give a light and jovial feel to the space through their form, surface treatment and placement.  

SAIFCO HEAD OFFICE

Saifco II, nestled within a cubical architectural canvas, transforms a basement into a vibrant corporate interior. Confronted with limited natural light, the design ingeniously employs glass blocks, embracing their translucent qualities to both define spaces and allow a play of light. These blocks serve as dynamic partitions, warping silhouettes and creating playful moving graphics, adding a lively touch. To counter the subterranean setting, greenery is seamlessly integrated, infusing the space with freshness and uplifting energy. Saifco II thrives on the cube motif, using light, form, and green elements to craft a sophisticated and lively corporate environment. 

SAIFCO II

Burewala House, belonging to a public figure, gracefully balances the need for accommodating large gatherings while ensuring a distinct private zone. Nestled in South Punjab the design responds thoughtfully to the arid climate. Orienting most windows towards the north minimizes direct sun exposure. Indigenous building strategies include thick walls for insulation and a central courtyard for cooling. High ceilings with wind wells enhance ventilation, while strategically placed jaalis act as shading devices and celebrate the prevalent desert winds. Beyond functionality, these jaalis define the building's elevation, intertwining form and climate-responsiveness in a residence that harmonizes with its surroundings. 

BUREWALA HOUSE

As a typical façade for the commercial developments along the main expressway of DHA Phase V, this design is intended to be implemented by various stakeholders over an extended period. The emphasis is on accentuating the site grid, ensuring simplicity for easy replication and flexibility to accommodate various uses. Planters are strategically employed to bring life to the facade and offer a visual break from the monotonous repetition of glass faces. Additionally, the grid extends to the rooftop, creating a semi-covered roof garden that maximizes usability and integrates nature more prominently into the overall design.

The Fazaia Housing Society Site Office Landscape harmoniously embodies the brand identity of the project, by using the geometry of its logo to inspire both macro and micro design elements. Deconstructed lines and angles derived from the logo inform the design of benches, waterbodies, walkways, and planters, creating a cohesive visual narrative. Understanding the site's high traffic nature, the design leans on hard landscaping, reserving grass sparingly. Fine white gravel dominates the groundcover, complemented by strategically placed waterbodies. Beyond aesthetics, these water features serve a dual purpose, inducing a cool microclimate and fostering an overall sense of tranquility, ensuring the site office creates the perfect first impression for visitors. 

TARNOL

Café CB, nestled within a bustling office environment, is thoughtfully designed to serve as both a vibrant café and a productive workspace. The interior architecture meticulously blends functionality with aesthetic appeal, ensuring it caters to a maximum number of patrons while providing dedicated areas for those who wish to work in a more relaxed setting. The design prominently features two contrasting shades of terrazzo, ingeniously employed to create an experience of compression and decompression, making the space appear more expansive than it is. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by an intimate, compressive zone characterized by dark terrazzo and sleek metal accents. This area, with its cozy and focused ambiance, serves as a transition space, subtly urging patrons to move forward.  As they pass through, the environment transforms dramatically. The main seating area opens up into a bright, spacious haven adorned with light-colored terrazzo and reflective surfaces. This decompressive zone, bathed in natural light and airy tones, fosters a sense of openness and relaxation, perfect for enjoying a coffee or diving into work. Café CB’s design is a testament to clever spatial manipulation and the harmonious use of materials, offering a seamless blend of utility and comfort in a chic, contemporary setting.

CAFE CB

Nestled between Balkasar and Pipli along the scenic route of Chakwal district, GHF I emerges as a meticulously designed town catering to the residents of both regions. Its layout gracefully follows the natural contours, offering panoramic views from every residential plot. The town's commercial hub flourishes at its forefront, inviting bustling activity and facilitating convenience for residents. Meanwhile, the residential quarters, nestled towards the rear, boast serene environments adorned with multipurpose courts and green spaces, promoting an active and communal lifestyle. GHF I epitomizes a harmonious integration of nature and modern living, exemplifying sustainable development principles. Its design ensures a balanced synthesis of scenic beauty, community vibrancy, and functional amenities, enriching the lives of its inhabitants.

GHF I 

Nestled between Balkasar and Pipli in Chakwal district, GHF II offers a tranquil escape just an hour away from Islamabad. This farmhouse scheme caters to those seeking a retreat or secondary home amidst nature's embrace. GHF II's layout harmoniously melds with the contoured landscape, providing residents with awe-inspiring views of the mountains and verdant surroundings. Its meticulously landscaped gardens and fruit orchards add to the charm, creating an atmosphere of serenity and allure. Central to GHF II is a natural water reservoir, inviting residents to partake in fishing, boating, and water sports, enhancing the town's appeal as a recreational haven. Meanwhile, well-designed pathways meander through the orchards and gardens, inviting residents to explore and unwind in nature's embrace. GHF II encapsulates the essence of countryside living, offering a blend of scenic vistas, recreational amenities, and natural tranquility. Whether as a vacation retreat or a secondary home, this farmhouse scheme provides an escape to a lifestyle marked by serenity and beauty.
